When do AI credits get consumed?
AI generation credits are consumed in these scenarios:
- Using AI Generate from a text description to create a new tree → consumes 1 credit
- Using AI Generate on an existing blank canvas → consumes 1 credit
- Onboarding templates (selecting one during first login) → consumes 1 credit
- Generating an AI summary for a fact (via 'Generate AI summary' button) → consumes 1 credit per fact
- Bulk AI summarization after KB import → consumes 1 credit per article summarised
Not consumed: Sending messages to the AI Assistant (internal or public chat) does NOT consume credits.
Check your remaining credits in the Billing page. Credits reset monthly on your billing date.
