Custom roles (Enterprise)
Enterprise plan allows creating custom roles with granular permissions instead of using predefined Admin/Editor/Viewer.
Creating a custom role
- Go to Team → Roles tab (only visible for Enterprise).
- Click Create role.
- Enter a role name (e.g., 'Tree Manager', 'Fact Reviewer').
- Select permissions from the list (see below).
- Click Save.
Available permissions
Tree permissions:
tree:view– View trees in list and editor (read‑only).tree:create– Create new trees.tree:edit– Edit existing trees (metadata, nodes, connections).tree:delete– Soft‑delete and permanently delete trees.tree:publish– Publish and unpublish trees.tree:export– Export trees as JSON or llms.txt.tree:import– Import trees from JSON.
Fact permissions:
fact:view– View facts in list and detail page.fact:create– Create new facts.fact:edit– Edit existing facts.fact:delete– Soft‑delete and permanently delete facts.fact:certify– Certify facts with VNT and uncertify.fact:summarize– Generate AI summaries for facts.
Freshdesk permissions:
freshdesk:configure– Edit Freshdesk API credentials.freshdesk:sync– Run KB sync imports.
Widget permissions:
widget:view– View widget generator and embed codes.widget:configure– Change widget settings (appearance, triggers, contact form).
Team permissions:
team:view– View team member list.team:invite– Invite new members.team:remove– Remove members.team:changeRole– Change roles of other members.
Billing permissions:
billing:view– View Billing page and usage meters.billing:manage– Upgrade, downgrade, cancel subscription, manage payment methods.
Assigning custom roles
When inviting a team member, select the custom role from the dropdown instead of Admin/Editor/Viewer.
Existing members: Go to Team → Edit member → Change role.
