Fact version history
Every fact maintains a complete history of changes, including who made each edit and when.
Viewing version history
- Go to a fact's detail page.
- Click the History tab.
- You see a list of all versions with:
- Version number (auto‑incrementing)
- Timestamp of change
- User who made the change
- Change summary (if provided during save)
What triggers a new version
- Editing any field (subject, predicate, object, source URL, body, tags, attachments, category)
- Certifying a fact (status change from Draft to Certified)
- Unpublishing a fact (status change from Certified to Draft)
- Generating an AI summary (content change)
- Adding or removing attachments
Comparing versions
Click Compare next to any two versions. A diff view shows:
- Added lines (green)
- Removed lines (red)
- Changed fields highlighted
Restoring a previous version
- In the History tab, find the version you want to restore.
- Click Restore.
- Confirm. The fact reverts to that version's content.
- If the restored version is from a time when the fact was Certified, the status becomes Draft — you must re‑certify.
Version retention
- Free plan – 10 most recent versions.
- Pro plan – 50 most recent versions.
- Business plan – All versions, unlimited.
Audit log vs version history
Version history stores actual content changes (before/after). Audit log stores only that an action occurred, not the content. Use version history for content recovery; use audit log for security/compliance review.
